VISA Issued

• Here is my experience:
  
  Application: Dec, 13th 2008
  Biometrics: Dec, 17th 2008
  Submission: Dec, 26th 2008 (new york office)
  UPS delivery: Dec, 29th 2008
  
  First communication from the embasssy: Jan 02 2009
  Visa Issued: Jan, 07, 2009.
  Literally the British consulate took 5 days to process my visa.
  
  I attached:
  Passport + 2 pictures
  ILE exams resutls
  bank statements and a letter from the bank
  detailed cover letter
  letter and certified payslips from the employer
  F1 documents and I94 card
  original Phd certificate
  Tax returns for 2007
