A friend of mine studied one year in Puebla. First she chose a private university: La Universidad Iberoamericana Puebla (UIAP). It has a good reputation abroad. But after some months she changed to La Benemérita Universidad Autónoma de Puebla (BUAP), a public university.
She told that students were so snobbish at the Ibero, she couldn´t stand it any longer. In México this kind of people is called "fresa". Probably you won't find the "real" and likeable mexicans in the upper class. Better try a public one!
