UK visa refused due to DUI

• I am a New Zealander living in Australia and reapplied for my UK ancestry visa, only to be refused because I didnt declare a drink driving offence in the UK 4 years ago. I simply didnt realise I had to. Stupid I now know, but I have appealed saying that I simply didnt realise I needed to declare this. What are the chances of them seeing this as a genuine mistake and granting me the visa? Thanks.

  I must add on that they seem to have refused the visa due to the fact I didnt declare the offence, and not because of the offence itself. Although, could this be a problem too? Thanks
